An exceptional end of a pilot project tour promoting quality of life

Wednesday, 08 June 2016

May 12th, 2016 - Maison de la Culture Frontenac

A huge success!

About 800 people gathered, including 150 elders in organized groups, over 100 natural and professional caregivers and others from the social/medical milieu as well as the cultural milieu, to participate in a variety of activities: an annual meeting of APPUI Montreal, Informational kiosks, a round table and post-performance discussions about the play, Victoria, at the heart of the event.

Truly a moment of pride, solidarity, listening, learning and engagement – opening the doors to a brighter future – inspired by the positive vision offered in this consciousness raising and moral boosting play. This was an opportunity for validation and reflection.

Find the beautiful pictures of this important day here:

THANK YOU to all who organised and participated in making this such a successful event:

PILLOW TALK, IN CREATION THIS SUMMER

Tuesday, 14 July 2015

After three presentations of works-in-progress during OFF – CINARS, C2MTL and the Festival Quartiers Danses, Dulcinea Langfelder & Co. is in residency at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal. During the summer, the team will finish building this new creation and adapt the show to the theatre that will host the launch of the english version in winter 2016. Two other residencies, in Jonquière and Baie Comeau, are also planned next winter before the premiere.

Pillow Talk , an essay on dreaming is based on a collection of real dreams that Dulcinea recorded on a bedside dictaphone...in a state somewhere between the conscious and the unconscious. Like a whisper in the ear, the artist confides her sweetest and most outlandish dreams, to explore this "home entertainment center" that lies deep within us all. In her singular style the artist brings us a work woven with theater, dance, song and video projection.

“Everyone dreams, even if we don’t remember doing so. Every artist is inspired by dreams, even if they are not aware of it – and aren’t we all artists during the night?” Dulcinea Langfelder

We can't wait to unveil this new creation, from March 29 to April 24, 2016 at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal! Until then, feel free to share your dreams with us right here.

Pillow Talk Labo - Follow the creation steps!

Wednesday, 11 March 2015
WELCOME IN MY LAB!

Resolution 2015: I'm going to (try to) share with you, once a week, the discoveries issues from my research on "Pillow Talk, an essay on dreaming". The more I explore my own dreams (as well as other documentation) the more I believe that dreaming is at the heart of our spiritual selves and our capacity to think, to feel, to judge, to remember... and to survive.

You can participate in my creation, in telling me about your dreams right here.

JE SUIS CHARLIE

Tuesday, 13 January 2015
hommage charliehebdo
"Long live freedom of expression and its capacity to better communication between peoples. With all due respect for CHARLIE HEBDO and all my horror at what happened, I hesitate to jump on the bandwagon to cry FREEDOM OF SPEECH, since it is hurled also to defend disgusting films, thoughtless blurts verging on hate-speech… it's even used to defend buying power. Freedom of speech, YES, but speech that is thoughtful, responsible and constructive… please!" - Dulcinea
